A Follow-up Study of Acute Schizophrenic Episode

Abstract

|
17 cases who were initially diagnosed as acute schizophrenic episode were followed up over one and half years for the purpose of evaluating the later course of these illnesses. Among 17 cases, 4 cases had returned to normal life, 7 cases revealed neurotic level and 6 cases maintained psychotic level. It is likely that, when evaluating the course longitudinally, the acute schizophrenic episode has no unique clinical course and prognosis.
